'Keys of Joy' (KOJ) is the flagship program of the Lang Lang Arts Foundation. Developed from the 'Keys of Inspiration' operated by the Lang Lang International Music Foundation for 10 years, it has a solid foundation and rich operation experience.
By offering professional musical instruments and a 'Play to Learn' environment to schools nationwide with limited resources, KOJ aims to give more underprivileged children a chance to experience the power of music by piano learning; ignite a passion for music in youth and stimulate their imagination and creativity.
The program donates smart pianos to each selected school, depending on the size of the school and classroom, together with the high-quality intelligent teaching software system. The smart pianos are connected with monitors that allow students to take interactive lessons, making piano learning much more interactive and fun. It also allows the teacher to control each keyboard in the classroom and see how each student plays from the teacher’s monitor.
We believe that a quality music education starts with the teacher, and our goal is to make sure that our educators have all the necessary tools to successfully implement this program. All the music teachers in program schools can receive additional training and development opportunities through KOJ. Special courses are designed to meet their needs as group piano instructors. Teachers have the opportunity to explore what it means to teach group piano, and discover how to use the state-of-the-art technology that makes up their classroom.
