Nanjian Primary School is located in Nanjian Yi Autonomous County, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. On November 2nd, the donation ceremony of 'Keys of Joy' music classroom was held in this beautiful campus.

At the donation ceremony, the students performed the Yi nationality traditional dance 'Fuwa Cuisine Dance' (福娃跳菜), showing their ability to sing, dance and hospitality. 

'Tiaocai' (跳菜), or 'Cuisine Dance', means to serve dishes with dancing. It is a traditional ethnic folk art with a long history that integrates dance, music, acrobatics and diet. It has been listed as a national intangible cultural heritage. And Nanjian County is also known as 'the hometown of Chinese folk art of Tiaocai'.

After the donation ceremony, the music teacher took the students to the new music room and began the children's first piano lesson. Mr. Liu Chengmin, director of Lang Lang Arts Foundation, sent his best wishes via video to encourage the children to study hard.

More than half of the student in Nanjian Primary School are minority children, who have good musical talent and plasticity. The school cultivates students' interests and hobbies and stimulates their love for national culture through various activities. Although the school attaches great importance to music education, the lack of music equipment restricts its development. 'Keys of Joy' brings professional music equipments, enabling children here to learn and carry forward the excellent national culture.

Nanjian was once a state-level poverty-stricken county. Although it was lifted out of poverty last year, many people still work outside the city. More than 95% of the students in Nanjian Primary School are left-behind children or children of migrant workers, whose parents are not around for a long time. In order to help these children solve the difficulties in study and life, the school set up a 'family station' to make up for the absence of family affection in their life.

The arrival of 'Keys of Joy' music classroom gives children a good place to stay after school. In the company of music, they can eliminate loneliness and enrich their extracurricular life, feeling the love and warmth of the whole society.
